I found that I had a talent for tooling leather in the mid 70's. I had a bad rodeo habit, that needed feeding, and I started making filigree name belts for cowboys to support my need to get on bucking bulls. That went on for about four years.
During the 90's I started making sporrans and other leather goods for my family and I for renaissance festivals. I discovered my Scots roots about the same time. In 2000 my wonderful new wife encouraged me to try my hand at creating for other people, and here we are. I feel like everyone of my customers is a good friend, and am proud to have been able to create something for them. I am determined to create wearable art that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Donnie (mouse over the image and hit play for a slide show. |
